I’m baaack! It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything on the blog. I had computer issues (failed hard drive) and I’ve just been getting all sorts of things done around the house getting ready for baby. But I am so excited for today’s post about my maternity photos!
A couple of weeks ago Daniel, Elijah and I got to spend the evening getting family and maternity photos taken by the wonderful Cameron Storie. She is a new photographer just starting her business, and let me tell you she’s a natural talent. She is incredibly easy to work with and the photos came out absolutely gorgeous. The way she was able to capture us and the light was just magical and they are some of my favorite photos ever. If you are in Albuquerque and need beautiful photos, contact Cameron!
When I was pregnant with Elijah I did not have maternity photos taken. It just didn’t really seem like anything I cared to capture in professional photography. We had our engagement and wedding photos of Daniel and I and it just didn’t seem necessary to have more. However, with this pregnancy it felt like it would be so special to capture the three of us as a family before this next little one arrives.
I am so beyond glad we did these photos, and I am so excited to share a few!
I think pregnancy has taken on so much more beauty and meaning to me the second time around, just looking at Elijah, and knowing the new sweet life I am creating. It is such a special time for us as a family and I’m so glad to have these moments captured.
My dress is from ASOS here. I wanted something flowy and bohemian without being too fussy or fancy and I love the way it looks in photos.
My top is American Eagle. Shorts are Target
Elijah’s shirt is Nautica brand from Burlington Coat Factory. It was actually a gift from my mom, and Elijah loves water animals, and the colors matched. His shorts are Old Navy.
Daniel’s Shirt and jeans are both Old Navy.
